The analytics dashboard helps communications teams understand what content resonates with their organization and measure the reach of internal communications.

## Dashboard overview

Access analytics from **Analytics** in the sidebar. The dashboard shows:

- **Total reach** — Unique readers across all channels
- **Engagement rate** — Percentage of subscribers who opened a post
- **Trending posts** — Most-read content in the last 7 days
- **Active channels** — Channels ranked by subscriber engagement

## Post analytics

Each post has its own analytics view. Click the chart icon on any post to see:

| Metric | Description |
|--------|-------------|
| Views | Number of unique readers |
| Read rate | Percentage of subscribers who opened the post |
| Avg. read time | How long readers spent on the post |
| Reactions | Breakdown of emoji reactions |
| Comments | Number and sentiment of comments |
| Share count | How many times the post was shared |

## Channel analytics

Channel-level analytics aggregate data across all posts in a channel:

| Metric | Description |
|--------|-------------|
| Subscribers | Total and growth over time |
| Posts published | Count by week/month |
| Avg. engagement | Mean read rate across posts |
| Top contributors | Most active publishers in the channel |
| Peak times | When subscribers are most active |

## Organization analytics

Workspace admins have access to organization-wide metrics:

- **Overall reach** — What percentage of employees are active on Firmreader
- **Department breakdown** — Engagement by team or department
- **Content velocity** — How frequently content is published
- **Notification effectiveness** — Click-through rates by notification type

## Exporting data

Export analytics data as CSV from any dashboard view. Click **Export** in the top right corner and select the date range.

Available export formats:
- CSV for spreadsheet analysis
- JSON for programmatic use
- PDF for executive summaries

## Read receipts

When enabled, publishers can see exactly who has and hasn't read a specific post. This is useful for compliance-critical communications like policy updates.

<Note>
Read receipts are off by default and must be enabled per-post by the author. Users are informed when a post has read receipts enabled.
</Note>

## Scheduled reports

Set up automated reports that are emailed to stakeholders on a recurring schedule.

Go to **Analytics > Scheduled Reports** and configure:

| Setting | Options |
|---------|---------|
| Frequency | Daily, weekly, or monthly |
| Recipients | Any workspace member or external email |
| Scope | Specific channels or entire workspace |
| Format | PDF summary or detailed CSV |
